About Caelus Institute
Caelus is an independent, nonpartisan institute for public-interest polling, applied research and civic dialogue.
Too much public debate moves faster than the evidence. Caelus exists to slow down the important questions, measure what citizens actually experience and create forums where findings can be examined openly.
Our work begins in Kenya and is grounded in African realities, African perspectives and the universal value of trustworthy evidence.
Our purpose
Methods and conclusions are not controlled by parties, candidates, funders or sponsors.
We test assumptions through data, research and direct public experience.
The public should not need specialist language to understand work done in its interest.
Our work is rooted in context, attentive to difference and connected to wider continental questions.
